How Do I Know If I Am Pregnant?

Many women experience pregnancy symptoms during their first trimester, but some women have no symptoms.

Common pregnancy symptoms include:

  • Missed period
  • Fatigue
  • Tender, swollen breasts
  • Nausea with or without vomiting
  • Mood swings

How Soon Can I Get a Pregnancy Test?

We are able to test for pregnancy as soon as the first day after your missed period. At Elevate Women’s Center, we offer no-cost pregnancy tests that are 99% accurate.

When Should I Get An Ultrasound?

If you receive a positive pregnancy test, you may be eligible for an ultrasound. This will determine how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is viable. As almost 30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, it is important to check for viability.

An ultrasound will also tell you the location of your pregnancy. Sometimes, women experience an ectopic pregnancy, which is when an embryo is in a location other than the uterus. If left untreated, an ectopic pregnancy can be very dangerous. You must seek immediate medical attention if an ultrasound reveals an ectopic pregnancy.

At Elevate Women’s Center, our ultrasounds are offered at no cost to you!
