First, know that your insurance likely will not cover your girlfriend’s abortion if she is not legally married to you and listed on your plan. This means that it is up to her insurance policy.
Arkansas has banned companies from including abortion coverage in plans sold by Affordable Care Act marketplaces. Moreover, state Medicaid has banned abortion coverage except in certain circumstances (i.e., if the woman’s life is threatened).
Arkansas banned abortion except in cases of life endangerment. This means that your girlfriend would most likely need to travel out of state for an abortion procedure.
